Individual Counseling

Rediscover your Authentic Self

Life’s challenges can sometimes leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. Individual counseling provides a safe and supportive space to explore your struggles, uncover deeper patterns, and create lasting change.

My approach integrates the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, psychoanalytic therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. With IFS, we explore the different “parts” of your inner world and work toward healing past wounds so that your authentic Self can emerge with clarity and strength. Drawing from psychoanalytic insight, we identify unconscious patterns—often rooted in early experiences—that may still shape your emotions, relationships, and choices today. Mindfulness offers tools to stay grounded in the present moment, cultivating self-awareness and compassion as you navigate life’s challenges.

Together, these approaches create a holistic path to healing—one that honors your past, connects you to your present, and empowers you to build a more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling future.

Couple Therapy

Rebuild Connection, Trust, and Intimacy Together

Relationships are powerful mirrors, often reflecting not only love and connection but also old wounds and unmet needs. In couple therapy, I draw from both the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and Imago Dialogue to help partners understand themselves and each other on a deeper level.

IFS for Couples
IFS views each person as having many “parts,” shaped by past experiences—especially childhood. In relationships, these parts can be activated, leading to cycles of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding. By gently exploring these inner parts, each partner learns to recognize their triggers, soothe their own wounds, and approach the relationship from their authentic Self. This creates space for compassion, curiosity, and true connection.

Imago Dialogue
Imago Dialogue offers a structured way for partners to communicate that fosters safety, empathy, and mutual understanding. Through intentional listening and speaking, partners learn to mirror each other’s words, validate each other’s feelings, and empathize with one another’s experiences. This process allows couples to break free from reactive cycles and build a foundation of trust and intimacy.

Integration for Healing
By weaving together IFS and Imago Dialogue, couple therapy becomes both an inward and relational journey. Partners discover how their past shapes their present, while also practicing new patterns of communication that strengthen the bond between them. The goal is not only to resolve conflict but to cultivate a relationship where both partners feel seen, heard, and supported in becoming their fullest selves.

Family Therapy

Healing and Growing Together

Every family has its own story, shaped by love, culture, challenges, and sometimes conflict. When stress, miscommunication, or past wounds create distance, family counseling provides a safe space to reconnect, strengthen bonds, and find new ways of being together.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS helps family members understand the “parts” within themselves and within the family system. By exploring these inner parts with compassion, families can identify patterns, reduce conflict, and build healthier ways of relating.

Culturally Sensitive Care
As a trilingual counselor (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English), I honor the cultural values, traditions, and identities that shape family life. Culturally sensitive counseling respects each family’s unique background, helping members bridge generational or cultural differences with empathy and understanding.

Psychoanalytic Insights
Using psychoanalytic perspectives, we look at how early experiences and unconscious dynamics influence current family relationships. By bringing these patterns to light, families can break cycles of misunderstanding and foster deeper trust.
